Tesla paint issues – Again

It is not the first time I have heard of Tesla vehicles with mismatching body panels colors. Why does it keep happening? The twitter user @dnasserian posted his discontent while taking delivery of his brand new Model Y while trading in his model 3 and even with his high excitement for the new car, ended up refusing delivery.

Tesla owners tend to be very forgiving when it comes to quality control issues presented by their cars, nothing wrong with that, you love the brand and want to support it. However, when will Tesla show the same love back?

What could be the cause of it? A number of possibilities: Parts painted in different days with slightly different pigment mixtures/rations, improper insulation between paint and painted surface between different surfaces and paint incorrectly applied with different thickness are just a few. The question here is: Why hasn’t Tesla figured out how to paint their cars properly?

Astonishingly, we also found this:

Wait what?

So if you buy a car that presents issues in the 7 day grace period (not all quality issues are blatantly obvious) you are banned from getting another model?

Does it have anything to do with the fact they still use a tent to build their cars?

This is not the first time issues with found with Tesla paint. Just another example below:

I can’t imagine a BMW, Mercedes, GM or Ford buyer would have the same cool as @dnasserian had with Tesla. We hope they figure their thing out soon and deliver a better product to their fanbase.

It is not fair to have to check for paint mismatch when buying a brand new car, like if you were buying an used car and looking for repainted parts indicating a possible collision.

inb4 you are just a gas lover, technology hater: no, get out of here.
