Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the nation’s leading infectious diseases experts, has some bad news for anyone thinking letting out of a hot one: You might be spreading COVID, especially in confined spaces, according to sources.

Fauci: “If you care about people, you should hold it in!”, sources.

Fauci, is who is chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is currently analyzing the data that suggests an estimated 35% percent of the COVID infections might have an unexpected source: Farts.

“The data that we get from our British colleagues is that this virus tends to transmit more readily in warm and confined environments, which means that we might need to double down on our public health measures,” Fauci said.

There is still no clear guidance on how to prevent this new transmission channel. A “containment device”, is being studied by Fauci’s team, according to a person familiar with the matter.

“If everything fits into the right place and we get this under control, it is conceivable that you might be able to pull back a bit on some of the public health measures as we get into the late fall of this year,” Fauci said. “But there’s no guarantee of that.”

For now and until a containment device is properly approved, holding it and releasing in a ventilated area is the best approach, Fauci said, but there must be “great care to do it as far from other people as possible”. While infection numbers are starting to drop, there could be more bad news ahead as this new form os transmission spreads in the United States.
