The just launched Aliexpress pilot project to speed up deliveries in the US by using a balloon mothership has enraged Jeff Bezos, which caused the US government government to shoot it down this Saturday, February 4th. All hopes for a faster delivery came crashing down this saturday, when the US government, after yielding pressure from Jeff Bezos and Amazon, finally shot the balloon down, damaging several costumers packages.
International commerce associations are inquiring if the action violates anti-trust laws and whether the US government is endorsing anti-democratic and anti-competition actions. American Civil rights groups say the balloon “identified as a woman” and “did nothing wrong”. A feminist group representative added “It is really astonishing that the moment we were made aware the balloon identified as a woman the US government decided to shoot it down. It clearly shows the normalization of violence against women and the misogyny in our society”.
